About Rakesh Kumar Christian

Hello, Antioch.

I am just an ordinary citizen, but I carry a deep hope for America to find its way back on the right path. I believe God has given me many opportunities to keep my faith strong, but when I see young veterans suffering, it breaks my heart.

America welcomed me, and some of its largest corporations even offered me settlements. However, I turned them down. One example is when I had a brand new 1990 Plymouth Sundance, and it blew out due to a faulty Goodyear tire. Goodyear offered me a settlement after the accident, but I refused. At the time, my girlfriend (now my wife) suffered five broken ribs, and her womb was displaced. I, too, was hit by a semi-truck while walking in a crosswalk, which resulted in severe spinal injuries and broken ribs. A man attacked me, leaving me with a head injury that required 20 staples. To this day, I suffer from those injuries, including dysfunction in my hands and constant pain in my back.

Despite all this, I thank God for allowing me to endure disability but not become brain-dead. I’ve seen many Americans fall victim to fraudulent systems like mandatory Obamacare. Even though I’m disabled, I was penalized for not having insurance for my daughter. I’ve gone to court over predatory lenders and fraudulent home loan modifications. I’ve been a victim of various oppressive and fraudulent activities.

As a human, I’ve tried to help others. I’ve cared for the elderly, abandoned by their own families. When I, as a disabled person, asked for help from HUD, a representative told me that America only helps people like George Soros. I was told that, because I’m disabled and can’t afford it, I wouldn’t get help, but people like Soros can.

God knows that I’ve let go of billions of dollars in America, but when I see our veterans becoming homeless, I continue fighting for those who need help. May God help me in this journey.
